@psujoe I cooked out and played in the pool yesterday and had a few Ultra beers 🍻 lol. I know he’s not crazy about James Franklin and i remember him hammering James Franklin after the Michigan game but let’s be fair, Michigan did beat Alabama, Ohio St and Washington to win the national championship. As for recruiting James Franklin has been killing it just look at the rankings and the dudes that has gone on to the NFL. Guys getting drafted from Penn St. Homer these numbers don’t lie.
@southern-psu-fan I was looking for a better Finebaum rebuttal than that and as far as recruiting goes the past has nothing to do with today and today JF is nowhere close to killing it.

Either way it’s second level recruiting and JF has proven he’s not capable of winning anything unless he has superior athletes.

@southern-psu-fan I love your enthusiasm for the program, mine has waned. I think my lack of enthusiasm began with the Peach Bowl. There were some great individual performances during the game; however, there were too many examples of self-interest. I think those instances are directly attributable to James Franklin - he seems to be a perfect example of "me, me, me".

We are above them, they only have four 4* recruits where we have ten.
@roaminglion number of recruits is why we are 9 spots ahead of them. Composite average is right behind us and at the same level as us IMO. Barring soMe kind of miracle we’re going to finish just in the top 20 and they just might too. It’s highly unlikely that we finish with a bunch of 4stars to finish out this class.
2024 we had sixteen 4* recruits they had 6. I know that was last year but these kids are still on the team. We have to judge James Franklin on what’s on the team right now and UCF aint even close just like the other 90% of the teams out there that’s chasing Penn St.
The peach Bowl leaves a bad taste in my mouth as well Tae with all the players sitting out but imo that’s where we are in college football that’s why the great Nick Saban retired he’s fed up with it. Am I going to start and how much money are you going to pay me…this ain’t going to end good.
I understand the frustrations but when we get the QB position fixed we’ll all be happy but until we do I’d rather be frustrated winning and losing the Rose and Peach bowl than playing in the Outback bowl. Just the way it is.
IMO James Franklin has made changes at OC to try and find that perfect fit and we’ve been good just not great. You gotta keep digging to find that perfect QB and OC and the NC will come. You fire coaches going to the Rose Bowl and peach Bowl it probably won’t end good. Gotta keep trying and that’s what I see him doing. Harbaugh was on the fence getting fired but Michigan was VERY patient and it paid off. Nebraska and Penn St did the same thing with the goat Joe Paterno and Tom Osborne look how long it took both coaches before they won NC’s. Just saying baby
