@mtnittanylion: Sitting in a chair??  What the heck were ya doing?? Waiting on a parade??  If the truth be known, I bought one dem der swivel seats a few months back and I love it!!!  I actually think I know right where you were.  Has that place changed at all thru the years??  Didya have any luck this year?? I managed to get a doe in PA right at dusk on Saturday.  I hunted deer in Maine, Vt, NH and PA and only came back with one doe.  I figure with license and travel expenses, that doe cost me about $250.00/lb.  Did I mention that I got shut out in Idaho too??

@tsuga He said he served he never said he deployed! Probably a REMF!!!

So does this make you feel like some tough guy GI Joe? Let the man respond before making judgments.

LOL.....Did you just seriously call an Officer in the United States Navy a GI Joe??  You might wanna stand down Suzy, you're way out of your league here.  Sky need not respond anymore, he pretty much told us all what we needed to know with his original post.

Let the man respond before making assumptions or judgments.  I find it out of line, rude and questionable for someone to act like both of you have earlier,  laughing away and both of you don't know for sure. So, let it be.  We all have our rights to speak up. I'm not afraid to speak up.

OK first off, read my post which was reaffirming a fact, not making a judgement. FACT, he said he served, I just pointed out that he never said he deployed. He posted about him and his sin serving and his son deploying and his sacrifice because his kids were born when he wasn't home again.

You are calling me and Tsuga out about posting about an insensitive comment the guy made about Franklin being separated from his family and trying to compare it to the military? And you don't find Sky's post out of line? I find that fricken sad as well! Sad for Franklin and sad that Sky doesn't have the compassion to feel for the man. Anyone who has served "and deployed long term" from their loved ones, surely would have some compassion for what Franklin is going through or any other human being for that matter regardless of what their paycheck is. So no, I'm not a tough guy GI Joe, I am a human being, a husband and a father and grandfather who deeply understands all to well how it feels to be separated long term from his family while trying to do his job.

So you should just let it be.

......."Speaking words of wisdom, let it be"........

Whey do we even bother??

@tsuga it went right along with Little Miss Muffet having a fit on her tuffet. I'm no shrinkologist, but I think she's the one that wanted to be the tough guy GI Jane and is now feeling super sensitivity, guilt and frustration from years of wishing she had, had the ovaries to enlist.

@tsuga

Not sure how long ago you were here, but in the past 35 years that I have been here it is still the same. Look at a road map if you get a chance.  When you head west on Indian Rock Road, you turn right on Woodbury and the game land parking lot is immediately on your left.  On your right is a 3 acre yard with a home at the top of the hill....actually an old friend of mine.  If we went over there right now we would see about 20 plus deer and probably 4 or 5 rack buck just standing and feeding.  They get pushed off the game lands and bed down there until the season is over.  And across from his property is about 10 acres of federal ground ( wooded ) and there are monsters in there living.  That is why I hunt the field where I do.  It is like the first day of trout season on the game lands and guys move these deer all over the place.  Unfortunately, being warm the last two weeks here, everyone was sitting and the deer just laid down all day. I didn't see any deer taken and NO shots the last two days. Once this snow comes tomorrow night, those deer will be all over the field I hunt in....a week too late!

There are big buck on Indian Rock.  I counted 8 tree stands within 500 yards of each other that guys leave up year round.  I hunt out of one them that a guy I met gave me permission to use....an ask that I keep an eye on it for him.  I took a doe and missed a buck last year....muzzleloader.

Enjoy your $250/lb venison.  I don't have any, so that sounds like a bargain to me!!!
