Can somebody please help me out?  Doesn't this NCAA Transfer Portal have any rules?  I just saw where John Petrishen entered his name in the portal.  He was a back-up safety and played on special teams for us last year.  Can players do this at any time, even though preseason camp has begun?  Can they do it after the season starts?  Supposed a star running back for say Clemson decides half-way through the season that he would rather star for Alabama and he comes up with some transfer reason that satisfies the NCAA, can he transfer and play immediately??  Please enlighten me of any rules regarding the Transfer Portal that might prevent something like this happening before I have a coronary!
