One last thing...The defense is definitely National Championship caliber...The front 7 of that defense is elite...It is going to be a shame to watch another season where the team has a National Championship caliber defense and will lose because the offense can't move the football with the talent they have...

I read somewhere that Allar is getting paid 3 1/2 M NIL money this year.  He sure as heck ain't earning it so far. Maybe Jimmy left the wrong one get away!

He was starting to hear the boo birds on Saturday and it’s only going to get louder. In the first two games the guy hasn’t shown one ounce of improvement over last year.
So far Southern has been right, we got rid of the wrong QB.

This is why I include Franklin on the list of the 3 who are responsible...He can always pull this guy and bring in the Grunk...It's time for Allar to take off the diaper and grow a set...Baby time is over...Kolenicky needs to pull his head out of his ass too...I ain't impressed with this guy either...Always an excuse...It's always somebody else at fault...The problem seems to be the guy who has been there for 3 years...I can tell ya...Oregon is gonna score some points when they come to town...The defense can only do so much...They will hold Oregon to 24 to 28 pts and in this era of College Football that should be enough to win...I can promise you they are gonna stack the box and take away the run...It is gonna be up to Allar to do something...Yesterday to me was absolutely unacceptable...

One more thing I don't like to see is your "Star" QB pouting on the sidelines with his helmet on and not looking at the tablet to see whats going on and not rallying the guys or any type of fire in his gut...Pouting on the sideline looking for a pity party...I am sick of seeing this for 3 years...Same ole same ole...It ain't gonna cut it...Time to have a come to Jesus meeting with this guy and let him know it is put up or shut up time...As you can see my belief in this guy is starting to fade away...I was supportive of him and said I think he takes the next step this season...So far I ain't seeing it...I don't wanna hear any nonsense about the WR corps...How many WR's have to shuffle in and out until you figure out where the problem is...

@the-funeral-director we really don’t know how good the defense is.

They look really good to me...I will go out on a limb and say they are elite...I have been wrong before but not too often...

Our schedule does not prepare us for anyone.  Rested, uninjured yes.  Tested no.  Our offensive line looked average pass blocking and run blocking.  And FIU gained yards.  I sure hope they are the best in Conference USA.  Apparently we were not willing to pay enough for better home game competition.  We better be doing some real practice against ourselves.  We are number two based on returning players, nothing else.

Hope I'm wrong.

We seem to have this same conversation/debate every year at this point in the season. The first two games have been ugly but I’m expecting total domination from start to finish vs Nova on Saturday.

Yeah, like I said, deja vu all over again.  Hopefully it doesn't end in crash and burn like the ND fiasco

I knew I’d come on here to find that we should have kept Pribula and Allar is a bust for the third season in a row.

The Pribula ship has sailed but Gronk is waiting at the pier.  Allar does not look good - again.  What would a winning coach (like Slick Nick) do?

@rip It’s way too early, once Pribula gets into conference play I have a feeling his numbers will normalize, he was in an intense QB battle up until the very first game. I wish him well, I want him to succeed. In regards to DA, it’s so early and I don’t believe shutting a G5 opponent out is cause for alarm despite DA not playing his top tier. Drew has yet to lose to unranked conference or non conference opponent, hate or love him that’s a fact. Why go out there blow the doors off FIU, put a bunch of things on tape for Oregon to use, it wasn’t pretty by any metric but it was literally a shutout. Everything will be fine, they have nova and a bye coming up. Oregon has to travel 2,000 miles to a white out coming off the civil war. Everyone take a breathe.

I don't know if I can agree with what you're saying.  I tend to feel kinda like what FD says.  Drew nedes to "take off the diaper and grow a set".  It's time for Allar to play like his pr sheet & NIL $$$'s command.   The time for "cleaning things up" & "learning from mistakes" is largely over.  It's now or never for him to fulfill his potential and get 'er done.  Great potential has benched many players and got quite a few coaches fired.

Exactly !! The kid is allegedly a sure fire 1st round draft pick and it’s time to start playing like one. Also time to stop catering to his fragile  ego and start holding him accountable.

I’m having a hard time understanding what would make you guys happy in this circumstance? Grambling State is a HBCU, FIU blows the doors off Grambling State. You need drew to throw for 500 yards and 6 TDs in a 72-0 blowout vice 34-0. Everyone here overreacted almost a year to the date over the Bowling Green game. How should Drew be held accountable in a 34-0 victory where he didn’t turn the ball over? What’s that accountability look like? Benching him for the back up. Last year all I did was hear cries about Pribula, now it’s cries about Grunk. Guess what when Grunk gets the reigns you’ll be calling his head for the legendary back up that never gets his chance. It’s mind blowing.

@kularrow I will tell you what would make me happy at this point...#1 Stop going to the sideline and pouting like a baby when things don't go your way...Tighten up your jock, grow a set and show some fire in your belly...Stop looking for the pity party...#2 let me see some improvement because I have seen none from last year to this year through 2 games...I see the same ole shit just a different year...#3 Lets stop with the excuses...He has 3 very good WR's now they got through the portal...At some point the buck stops somewhere and this year the buck is gonna stop with him...#4 I will give you the why put stuff on tape which is true...making adjustments to how a defense is playing you is just good football...It shouldn't take you almost through the 1st half to figure out the TE's are the play and get them involved based upon the defensive scheme you were facing...I am hoping this gets squared away but history ain't on my side here...From my perspective I don't give a flying rip who he is or who he thinks he is if he ain't getting it done it's time to sit down and bring in another option...It was that way when I was playin and it was that way long before I was playing and it was that way up until about 10 years ago...As far as I am concerned this guy should be on a very short leash...It is not fair to the other guys on the team...This is a National Championship caliber team...The weak link to me is the QB for the 3rd year in a row...

@kularrow

I'd be happy if he earned his $3.5 M NIL money and showed some fire & leadership.  Watching his body language and side line comportment, it seems like it's all about Drew, IMO!

Yessiree, BT.  Now it's up to the conductor, ride Drew down to the end of the track or switch over to Gronk if the train is derailing.

Legendary Back Up Syndrome. Almost 3 years to the date, Week 2.

Yup I was the first one on this forum to jump on the Allat bandwagon and if you had continued your research you’d realize that I jumped on long before week 2 of 3 seasons ago.
