Man what a weekend coming up. Spring game Saturday and imo after going 4-5 and 7-6 the last 2 years it’s time to play a real spring game and let’s find out who wants to knock the chit out of somebody and find somebody that’s wants to play. Don’t hold anything back except maybe the hits on the QB’s. I believe he can but it’s time for James Franklin to put up or shut up.

Headed over to a stop in Talladega and I was able to stop by the 205 truck stop and get me some fresh chicken gizzards with some franks hot sauce baby I put that chit on everything 😂 man it’s 75 degrees and sunny ole southern feeling real good today baby and it’s going to be a great beautiful weekend not a cloud in the sky. It’s spring game and Talladega time brother 👍😁🍺🇺🇸 Thank you Jesus

From what I've been reading, it won't be much of a game.  Jimmy is altering the format (again) because of depth issues??  Sounds like it's gonna be a "staged" practice.  That ain't gonna do any good when the season starts!

@been-there-ii  I’m hoping to get him up here I know he’ll love the race. I believe he’s got a lot going on right now hopefully in the fall or next spring he’ll be able to make it up and go-to-dega lol

depth issues in his 9th years ain’t good BK. We need to go out and lay it out on the field to see what we got. I’m hoping for a real practice game. I know you don’t want your QB gettin killed but the rest of the guys need to hit.

@rip BK, please watch the first 10 laps Sunday if you’ve never watched a NASCAR race at Talladega it’s like no other. As exciting as tv is it ain’t giving it justice because being there hearing the cars will make the hair stand up on your whole body. Drag races do the same thing but it’s different. Check it out Sunday buddy. There’s a reason 140,000 people show up lol

Jeff Gordon ran a Penn St car a few years ago at the Pocano race but I don’t remember why. I’m surprised more college schools don’t get involved in racing assuming they could make money by gettin on a car for sponsorship. It would definitely help sale stuff with Team logos, right? I collect 1:24 scale race cars and I got the Penn State car

Never got excited about NASCAR. Just not interesting to me.  To each it's own. To me it's a washed up sport. Same goes for MMA. overly saturated. On occasion I go to the near dragstrip and watch no prep kings on a Friday night.

I’ve been reading and hearing the same things. Definitely not good. I’m in State College today fly fishing Spring Creek because I’m supposed to be at the game tomorrow but am thinking I’ll skip it and be back on the creek instead.

Go fishing, watch a modified practice? No contest. Hopefully less of a crowd on the Creek. Good Luck!

We need to hit and get tough. That’s been part of our problem the last couple of years sometimes we wasn’t physical enough late in the games. I was hoping for a real spring game but I still watch it because I want to see the team. Depth shouldn’t be an issue in year 9. I’m not saying put all your starters out there and let ‘em kill each other put the young guys out there and let ‘em go at it.

Didn't JoePa say..."You play the way you practice"?  I think we proved that the last several years!

IMO it's because we've not been good tacklers, but big hitters. Good fundamental tackling stays the entire game, but when "big hitters" get tired people tend to start bouncing off them.

Brandon Smith was a prime example of this.

The problem is, we don't practice tackling, we're "thudding" at practices and it carries through to the game.

The hatch was ridiculously thick this evening! No brainer for me.

Tight Lines,

Dish had the start time wrong so I missed watching/recording the first half.

First thing I read on the bottom of the screen is Dotson is returning.

Quality control.

Then we have B10 diversity equity inclusion clinic for referees/officials.  We have diverse officials now...good, bad, old, young,  male, female....  I just want good.  Where is the line between performance,  equity and preference?

More diverse might mean less Michigan and OSU but they didn't say that.

Malcolm Gladwell has a book where he takes on diversity.  I remember one subject was the bias against women blowing a big horn in the orchestra.  It was thought they didn't have as much 'air' as men.  When put behind a screen and sex was unknown it was determined many were better.  I think he also commented on certain positions in football like receiver it is tough being non-black.  His books are interesting.

He had some tests in the one book that suggested he, a black man, was racist against black men.  I guess in reality he was profiling.

Sometimes performance is hard to judge, that is what 'Moneyball' is about.

Anyway, the game was pretty useless for anything but marketing.  These Blue-White games continue to be more useless every year.  If it weren't for the fans and marketing it would be more productive to add a practice.

The Blue/White game is a practice, it's just the last one and they let us attend it.

Gladwell books sound very interesting!

I guess I’m a bigot and racist because I believe men are better than women in some things and women are Better than men in other things. I also believe black folk are better than white folks in some things and white folks are better than black folks in other things. I also believe men are stronger 💪 than women and in sports men shouldn’t play womens sports regardless of what you think you are and if somebody doesn’t like it, tough. It’s Talladega time tomorrow baby and ole southern will be there 😁🇺🇸🍺

@roaminglion

As I've said in my post yesterday. It was small RVs , campers and a boat load of cars traveling west. All of them had window stickers showing their support as fans. The crowd proved that today. The spring games get the fans pumped up. Every team does things differently.  Correct me if I'm wrong but they did 7 on 7 today? I caught bits and pieces of it on the radio with jack hamm. Radio reception wasn't the greatest. I understand most take it as just a practice. Anyone having thoughts of not broadcasting the game is just silly.

Pretty much how I feel Southern.  I'm a stereotyper from way back!  How did you feel about Danica when she was crashing the NASCAR ceiling and tearing up the tracks (LOL)?

Anyone hear about the trans-woman playing Rugby in Guam? She injured like 3 girls in one game and went on to injure others.

There's something seriously wrong with people thinking that a male can simply transition to a female and not have physical advantages. What delusion are these people under??? LMAO, this coming from someone who others on the board have called a liberal far-left crazy.

Thinking it is bad enough, but they want to force society to accept it that is really dangerous.
