Our two good running back recruits, 2026 Harrisburg star Messiah Mickens and 2027 McKeesport back Kemon Spell each announced they’d shut down their recruitments moving forward. Also in-state wide receiver 2027 Khalil Taylor, a highly touted four-star, announced his pledge to the Nittany Lions on social media. Both of these updates are from PennLive.
Coatesville linebacker Terry Wiggins committed to the Nittany Lions on Friday afternoon. He’s a four-star, the No. 9 player in Pennsylvania and the No. 26 linebacker, according to the 247Sports Composite. This is some great news my friends! 😁
@been-there-ii Yes sir my brother! We’ve had different loads at work and I’m not sitting as much at work waiting around at customers. We go through this phase every once in a while. I usually have a lot more time on my hands but I love staying busy 😂 it would be nice to have watched the spring game I love watching the kids fighting for playing time.
@southern-psu-fan I've got plenty to keep you busy, come on up! I promise, no shovel! How good are you at mitering trim?

I love finish carpentry. Are you talking vinyl exterior or interior?
@jimmy-v Interior, outside is done....except for the J-blocks the damn concrete truck ran over, got every last one of them.

I redid some exterior J channel, brick molding, hung screen door on garage door. The fun stuff of mitering.
Dial that saw in. I finally found a good saw blade. Pricey, but comes in handy for detail. Better than the big box store stuff.
Will you all do me a favor. If you are going to comment on this topic please make it about Recruiting news . If you want to talk about anything else open a new topic here or better yet in the Water Cooler. Thanks.
I've grown to understand that no kid ever shuts down anything, they say they do but things always happen. Our two good running back recruits, 2026 Harrisburg star Messiah Mickens and 2027 McKeesport back Kemon Spell each announced they’d shut down their recruitments moving forward. @psugrad81 I agree buddymy bad I got carried away lol
I've been saying that all along. The word "commit" doesn't mean sheet in their world. That's why I don't really follow recruiting that closely.
@roaminglion Yup, right after the one kid “shut down” his recruiting he had an in home visit from Alabama.
Class of 2026 four-star wide receiver Davion Brown committed to the Nittany Lions, he announced on a social media post. From Trinity Episcopal School in Richmond, Virginia, Brown is the nation’s 29th-best receiver and his state’s sixth-best player. He’s a top-200 prospect overall, according to the 247Sports Composite.
This is some good news!
Jennings, who Penn State listed at 6-2 and 250 pounds, had been rated a top-200 prospect and a four-star for the class of 2026 before his reclassification. Now in the 2025 class, he’s still West Virginia’s No. 1 player and a four-star but has bumped to No. 395 nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Good news here
Penn State keeps rolling in 2026.
Three-star offensive line prospect Benjamin Eziuka committed to Penn State on Tuesday. At 6-3 and 290 pounds, he’s the No. 755 prospect nationally and No. 65 among interior offensive linemen, according to the 247Sports Composite.

With Jim Knowles at the helm and our school's reputation for defense, we should be getting the best players in the country to at least take a serious look. Defense going forward is going to be well maintained, and even upgraded.Crystal Ball® Predictions

Running backs... check. Offensive line... check. We just need to get our passing game in order, and if we do man o man this team will be ELITE.
Four-star defender Elijah Littlejohn committed to the Nittany Lions on Monday, boosting the 2026 class to 20 members. Out of West Charlotte High School in North Carolina, he’s the No. 377 prospect nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s a four-star by 247’s own rankings but a three-star elsewhere.
Just imagine what this class would have been like if all the good recruits hadn't written PSU off due to the ND loss.
It appears like we’re in our annual fizzle out stage of recruiting. We wouldn’t be taking those last couple of guys if the staff thought we had a shot at the big fish they were supposedly saving roster spots for.
@been-there-ii man that ND game was a brutal loss the worst loss of my life time. it ain’t Penn State and recruiting that’s going get wrote off if we lose to Oregon and Ohio State it’ll be DA and James Franklin 😂 we lose them 2 games the pitch forks will be coming out baby 😂 can’t ole southern just get one big win in the DA era…just one brother 😂 the 0-6 is killing me smh
