I was looking at rivals and the DE George Rooks looks like a long shot but if this dude is as good as his rankings he might step in and play right away. Man we need some help bad at DE. The other DE in the 21 class is a 3* so he might need some time to develop. What big time stud QB or DE wouldn’t want to play at Penn St if you want some early playing time because it obvious we need help at these 2 positions. I’m hoping we can land Rooks. Clifford brother is a 3* WR so I ain’t buying James Franklin is playing Clifford because he doesn’t want to piss his brother off. He’s playing Clifford because I guess he’s the best QB we’ve got. I still believe Levis would get much better if he got some meaningful snaps throwing the ball. Also the 22 class looks pretty good
All of those players that entered the transfer portal came back and haunted, bit them in the arse.

Still had more than enough to kick your team's ass.

Southern. I think you are right about Rooks being a long shot. He goes to the same HS that Brandon Wimbush did. Wimbush was the big time QB recruit Franklin got a few years ago and his HS coach talked him out of the commitment and talked him into going to ND. It was even a story in SI. Rumors are Rooks is most likely headed to BC. That HS coach seems to funnel all his high end talent to ND and BC. He’s not held in very high regard by PSU folks.
Clifford’s brother is a 4 star on 24/7. He plays in a very competitive conference in Ohio and he tore it up this season. I think people are overlooking him and Lonnie White from Malvern Prep in PA. White was once committed to Clemson to play baseball, so he is very athletic. I think those 2 and the newly committed Wallace will be fine at WR.

The rest of the class is listed here. I’d highly recommend 24/7 for recruiting news and rankings. It seems to be the most up to date and accurate these days. ESPN and Rivals are a bit outdated. I have heard that Rivals doesn’t even rate kids unless they participate in their camps/showcases which is kind of lame. Anyway, here’s the 2021 list. Small class, average ranking. 2022 class however is off to a hot start and looks very very good.

Flags go back up in the coal region of PA?

I'm not sold on Levis and am highly disappointed we didn't get to see some of the other QB's get a chance to show what they've got.
About time we got some Safety recruits that are over 5'10". And Rodney McGraw looks like he could play now, he looks like "he's a bad man", that's to be taken as a compliment.
@psu61 I agree. They have some kids in the last 2 recruiting classes who are bigger, athletic safeties and CBs. Joey Porter Jr is a long CB and he looks like he is going to be pretty good. He had a nice first season as a starter. Agree also on McGraw. He was rumored to be underrated by the recruiting services. I’ll say this about Franklin and Co. They can identify talent early. The 2021 class is being criticized, but I think there will be some really solid contributors to the PSU program in this class. 2022 has the the potential to be top 5-top 10 class.
Also, did anyone else notice DE Oweh didn’t play yesterday? Anybody know why?
@psujoe. Just my opinion but if we ain’t seen the other QB’s that means they don’t got it to play at this level. I’m not seeing it at QB, LB’r or DE we’ve missed big time on these 3 positions. I’ll cut a little slack on LB’s because of Parsons decision not to play but man we are hurting at DE and QB. The OL, wr’s, nose tackles and DB’s look pretty good.
TEs have looked very good. Friermuth is a beast and I wish him a long productive NFL career, but Strange and Johnson look more than capable of playing well. Good hands and good blocking by both. They probably fit the new offense a little better. The LBs are lost at times and I’m not sure the defensive scheme is helping them. They have their best LB (Smith) covering receivers? Why isn’t he manning the middle of the field and wrecking havoc? The true freshman Jacobs #23 has looked pretty good in limited playing time also. But, I do agree with you in large part the LBs have been a disappointment. Their tackling is horrendous. The OL has improved over the course of the season and looked better.
@lionbacker99. #86 is a beast 99 and he will be playing in the NFL one day.

At least one QB will soon be entering the portal with Thorpe, my guess is Bowen but wouldn't be surprised if Levis leaves too.
