Elias Coke is heading east.

The Harrisburg, an all-state selection this year and 4-star/3-star recruit, announced on Wednesday morning that he has committed to play college football at Rutgers.

When we play these teams like Rutgers we need to hammer these teams and light that scoreboard up!

I read up a little on the dudes we got in the portal and it looks like 2 good WR’s. I wish Wallace would have stayed on though.

If you're concerned about losing a 3* WR, then you're admitting what we got wasn't good to begin with. I want 3* guys going elsewhere, because I we should be concerned about getting 4 and 5's

@roaminglion  I’m not concerned about anything except the QB situation. It say4*/3* whatever that means. Wallace and Clifford was a 4*

I know they were, and that's the point. The more you stack up on 4 and 5 star guys the better chances you have on hitting a good one. It's no guarantee, but the higher the recruiting ranking is the better probability they will be good.

@roaminglion  this year will be the 3rd sets of WR’s hopefully this gets things going to the right direction. I just can’t wrap my head around 8 WR’s being bad. I hope I’m wrong.

Thay aren't bad, there's just no one great in the group. When you don't have a #1 guy, it's hard for anyone else to step up. A guy like Alvin Harper needed Michael Irvin. Harper was great as a #2, but he couldn't be a #1.

Parker Washington was great at PSU as a #2 next to Dotson, but he wasn't a #1 and in 2022 just couldn't produce in that role like Dotson did. Same OC, same QB... just no #1 WR. Same for 2017 Godwin left, but Hamilton was ready to take over the #1 spot. However in 2018 there wasn't a #1, and McSorley's pass production took a big hit that year.

Just saying that having a true #1 guy can have a ripple effect down the roster, and make a lot of guys look real good when the defense has to commit to covering or even doubling a WR. Warren was great, but he was a TE... not the same, no one was using DBs to cover him.

Penn State will have one of its playmaking linebackers returning for the 2025 season.

Dom DeLuca will be back playing for the Nittany Lions next season, he announced on Wednesday. The two-time captain, who walked during Senior Day, has one year of eligibility remaining.

I gotta get back on some good news baby and here’s some good news. We gotta lot of good news the last few days with some stud players coming back

Six total commitments to the 2025 season have come for Penn State on Wednesday, and the latest is an important offensive depth piece.

Swing offensive lineman JB Nelson announced on X/Twitter his intent to return next year. It will be his fourth season at Penn State and sixth in college football overall after transferring from Lackawanna Community College.

The good news continues baby

Penn State continues to get good news on veterans returning for 2025, and the latest is someone who could turn into one of the Nittany Lions' most important depth pieces.

Defensive end Smith Vilbert indicated in an X (Twitter) post that he would be back for a seventh season in Happy Valley. Vilbert was a freshman in 2019 and redshirted, then he received a coronavirus-granted extra year in 2020. Still, his eligibility would have expired in six seasons, so he likely received a medical waiver for an extra year after missing the 2023 season with an injury

while I don’t agree with7 years it’s the rules so we’ll take the good news.

we lost a few good players but imo we got what we needed to make the team better next year. It was another good portal year for us.

@southern-psu-fan Yeah, I think they tried to ignore the portal for a year, now are starting to embrace it.

Not sure which is worse, having to look through all the love and death spells or opening a thread up, looking to see who wrote what and all that there are .... and being disappointed. Kinda like getting underwear and socks for Christmas! lol

  • Hated losing this dude but it is what it is. He’s at Ole Miss and we will see if he was the problem this coming up season because ole Miss throws the football.

Thinking Niccy must have some serious shit going on or he'd surely have posted something about the inauguration.

If previous seasons for Ole Miss are any example, he probably will by gaining 200 yards every game against sh*tty Sun Belt teams and FCS teams, then 200 to 300 in SEC play.

Seems about right for Ole Miss

He was banned during the B1G championship game so apparently it’s gonna take him a while to figure it out.
