Just mention Bill Murray and a thread blows up ! Fact is he knows more about College and High School football than any of you and was probably the best and most knowledgeable poster on this forum. You guys ran him off because you couldn't keep your political views to yourself and he disagreed with them.

Lmao. He is good at what he likes, high school football. Some of his stories were a little exaggerated. Like the time when college football coaches took his advice how to kick FG's and win football games. I never bought his B.S either claiming his websites are chosen to recruit D1 football athletes.

Murray knew his stuff when it come to football I’m not on Facebook so I didn’t see that side of him but I always enjoyed talking with him. Lake met him a few times if I remember right. He was definitely wrong about the Covid-19 stuff but make no mistake about it, he knew his stuff when it comes to football he was on the same playing field as Roam and a few others.
I met 2 people from this and the pennlive forum, Steaky and BillMurray. I wonder what ever happend to Steaky, I hope she is all right, very sweet girl. As for BillMurray, I met him 3 times while he and his associates were in Erie for a local coaches meeting and to write for his hs football blog. I had a few beers with him too. Another time was at the 2017 blue white game. He's super knowledgeable about anything Penn State and Pennsylvania hs football. Remember the great debates he had with the the Ohio State guy (A.J. Hawk I believe ) on Pennlive? All this was pre Covid and the 2020 presidential election. Of course its fine to have strong opinions on both, its our birthright as Americans right? On the other hand I was taken back by Murray's, let's just say, over the top and self rightous positions. It wasn't the Billmurray I knew and I hope he is well. Something to think about...what has this pandemic and political environment done to us?

I met Murray once when I worked for HERCO but that was a long time ago and I'm sure I wouldn't know him if I saw him today.
I also met Steaky a long time ago. We met up a few times at her hangout on the West Shore. Probably wouldn't know her if I saw her today either.

Littlejoe: just a couple of things here:
- you might want to go back and look this Murray fellow up and read some of the condescending, degrading stuff he said to other members. Read his last 20 posts. That pretty much speaks volumes about his character.
- He's still a member in standing on this forum and as such, he can come back on here and defend himself at any time. He's been "gone" for over a year and a half now.
- Help me out here, if this Murray guy left in June of 2020 and you joined in October of 2020; how do you know so much about it all??
- You go after FT with a vengeance every chance you get but yet you call out the rest of the members for doing the very same thing you do on a daily basis?? And you call me a hypocrite??
- I'm thinking one of two things here.....either you're Murray in hiding(which I highly doubt because you dont seem to be on the same intellectual level as he appears to be) OR....You have a man crush on him. I'm gonna tend to lean towards the latter.

Bill brought a lot of knowledge to this forum when it came to scouting high school talent, recruiting news and what was going on with the penn state program...I think his wife was employed in some capacity at the university...I don't think he ever played college football and I am unsure if he even played in high school as he never mentioned anything about his athletic career...I don't think I ever mentioned my name here but he emailed me and figured out who i was...His downfall here was more or less of his own doing in my humble opinion...He got jammed up guaranteeing full stadiums and was quite dismissive of the severity of the covid-19 virus...I know I told him and the forum of my experiences in the refrigerated trucks here in the new york metro area and what that my opinion was far different than his...I vehemently disagreed with him and told him that it was my belief that time would prove him wrong...I know roam posted that his wife is an ER doctor and he more or less was in agreement with my assessment...Ultimately he was proven wrong and couldn't admit he was wrong and hasn't posted here since...I had disagreements with him as I have with probably everybody in here but that doesn't mean that I didn't value his opinions and contributions to the forum...I miss the guys posts on high school recruits, his recruiting news and information on the program...He posted a lot of great information and I would be glad to have him back here on the forum...

I think her brothers were very good high school wrestlers as well. I met her at the NCAA wrestling championships in March 2019. She may have posted once or twice on here after that but never since then.
The part I remember about Murray was the fact that being a press member, he was at Penn State practices. He had insight on some of the things the program tried to keep hush hush, whether it with a player breaking a team rule, or any other rule. I don't post all that much, but I do read them all, and I always looked forward to his posts, especially during the coaching hunt for both O'Brien and Franklin. I remember someone here, may not have been Murray, but was keeping track of some Airplane Data site and knew when the PSU Jet took off and where it was landing, which tipped us off on who may have been the next coach. Was nice for the forum to have an "inside" guy.

It's been heard SCA will once again appeal the move from 2A to 3A once again. Not sure they get away so easy this time. Afraid to play up to 3A. Tells me one thing. They're Afraid. They rather stay in 2A and beat up on Bloom, Danville, Shamokin and Central Columbia.

T-Hale...You are relatively new here so I will try to help you out...PSUJoe is Homer or Remoh as he was known on PennLive...He has been on this forum since day 1 and prior to this forum's creation he was a long time contributor to the ole PennLive forum...Just about everybody here met on the ole PennLive forum and this forum was created by Cave as a response to PennLive shutting down our old forum...I have had disagreements with every poster on this forum over one topic or an another...Argued, debated and you name it...We hash it out and move on to the next topic to banter and argue about...I learn a lot from every poster on this forum (yes even from Pipe)...I consider everybody on this forum a friend...This forum is like a family...Bill Murray also goes back to the old PennLive forum and was a very active poster...He brought a lot of great information to the forum and I miss his insights...The bottom line is we all know this forum very well and who all the posters are...We all have our faults and quirks and what not but what binds us all is Penn State football...I see no value in your attempt to drum up beefs or quarrels over a poster that hasn't been on this forum for quite some time...I don't know what you are trying to accomplish with this but my advice to you is let a sleeping dog lie as at the end of the day you might be the one who gets bit in the ass...You are new here and my advice is to post your observations on Penn State football and learn the lay of the land around here before you get into stuff with the old guard here...We may argue, fuss and fight but this is a close knit family here that has been around for a good amount of time...There isn't a poster on this board that I wouldn't be honored to take out for a nice steak, adult beverage and a fine cigar or 2...

I was there when Wyomissing kicked the crap outta them. Total domination. SCA fans were leaving after 3rd quarter. Wyomissing stuffed their puny 5'9" RB behind the LOS whenever they wanted.
