Mendoza is playing at home to FD 😂
This is an even game if you look at the statistics...3 turnovers are the difference in the game...That is why Ohio State is home instead of Miami...You can't turn the ball over and especially in the situations that Ohio State turned it over...
@the-funeral-director Indiana has 2 fumbles but the ball bounced right back into their hands lol
Even game? IU score on every possession except 1 in the first half and Mendoza has 4 TDs and 2 incompletions. This is an even game if you look at the statistics...3 turnovers are the difference in the game...That is why Ohio State is home instead of Miami...You can't turn the ball over and especially in the situations that Ohio State turned it over...
Miami beat OSU but they aren't good, now Indiana is winning by 30 and it's really an even game? Wut?
Statistics were all but even at halftime. Difference was the QB play and turnovers.
3 turnovers and a blocked punt where Indiana gets the ball on Oregon's 10 yardline...that's 28 points...
Imo, the key with Indiana is the O and D lines, both old school football players who just get after it, you could see that last year as well. After that, insert the role players and have at it.
Those lines consist of no 5 stars, a few 4 stars and mainly 3 star/no star players.
What I watched with Indiana is a very well coached football team playing hard and getting after the ball. Oregon ain’t as good as last year but done what they needed to do to get this far. I don’t know what happened to James Franklin and the shit show he turned into but damn he built a stud football team because we were in position to beat both these teams last night. With what went down it’s amazing we finished 7-6 kicking Clemson’s ass and that game wasn’t as close as the 22-10 score we really dominated’em. Coaching matters and we’ll have our days this year and going forward.
Are defensive turnovers and special teams not part of a team or game now? So they do not count? Or do we just say the offense got yards so the game was even?3 turnovers and a blocked punt where Indiana gets the ball on Oregon's 10 yardline...that's 28 points...
I'm sorry but yes it snowballed on Oregon a bit yesterday but it was by no means even. Indiana had short fields but Oregon's defense didn't look like they could stop Indiana at all.
Nice thing about Indiana football, they stay on schedule and play complimentary football, lol; I hate those terms but it was true with last nights game, with the O, D and SPT/
@psu61 'Complimentary Football', OK JF61
IMO both OSU and Oregon gave away the games on big turnovers. I admit I am still baffled that IU is as good as they are, especially after we effectively beat them with a backup QB. Has anyone played them closer than PSU?
Maybe they took pity on us? What do they call those games between real games where you overlook the opponent? TRAP, that's the word. That must have been PSU 🤣
Southern Oregon lost 2 rbs to the portal one already left and the other one played last night, when you are in the national semi finals and 2 of your top 3 rbs go to the portal is an issue@roaminglion I really didn’t take Miami seriously because I didn’t watch ‘em until the playoffs and they’ve won 3 big games straight. Remember I was the dummy that said Duke should’ve got in the playoffs over Miami 😂
This Oregon team isn’t as good as last year didn’t they rebuild the team homer?
Im also the dummy that said Indiana was overrated lol its been a rough year for ole Southern lol
Imo, Indiana beat PSU because of their coaching and what they had wired into their players and how their players initiate, drive, and repsond to the situation. Everybody makes mistakes but that team is just welded into one mass moving in one direction, and that is winning. Who knows if they beat Miami but my bet is that they are coming in with the attitude of expecting to win vs lets see if we can win. To me that is how the Saban era Bama teams came to play, along with their coaching staff. I really think JF took teams into games wondering if they could and would win; what bailed JF out a few times was a few players who had the attitude of refusing to lose, McSorely comes to mind when I say that.@psu61 'Complimentary Football', OK JF61

Just my thoughts with a cup of joe.
Illinois similarly almost beat us in 1994... those games happen.@psu61 'Complimentary Football', OK JF61

@roaminglion Didn't Illinois have some great players on that team but Penn State had the confidence
They had two defensive stars: Kevin Hardy and Simeon Rice. Not much else though@roaminglion Didn't Illinois have some great players on that team but Penn State had the confidence
lol. Experienced, yes, but too old to put up with the BS at this stage of life, better suited for commentary, and maybe helping someone else see the other side of things through a lens built from listening to mentors and real life experience and some wisdom, lol.@psu61 Fluent in Coach speak are you? You coulda/shoulda thrown you hat in the ring for the PSU job!
