Hey everyone,
My dad and cousin are big Michigan fans living in Texas (I'm an Aggie - but go along for the ride) - and we're looking at coming up to State College for the Michigan/Penn State game this year.
In the past, we usually go to Michigan home games in Ann Arbor - so we're a little inexperienced in buying away game tickets.
I'm just curious if y'all knew of any ways to get tickets to the game - other than places like Stubhub, etc.
Also, any tips y'all have for Game Day would be awesome too! We're all really looking forward to our first trip to State College!
Hard to find tickets without getting ripped off. Ebay, StubHub and Ticketmaster are all RIP offs with fees. Best bet is to find them from holder.
That’s going to be a pretty tough nut particularly for this game. Stub Hub is still your safest bet though as noted, a rip off.
Try going to the bluewhiteillustrated board and try the football forum though will have to sign up. You could post your need there but I don’t think you will find any deals there if in fact you find any tickets. Just like here, don’t be a troll. A third option would be find a game day scalper though not a great option on such an important date. Good luck on your quest but not an game day. I hope your Aggies do well this year.
Good stuff, and thanks for the advice! I'll check that out!
Thinking we'll most likely end up doing stub-hub - I just know from experience it's not always the best deal out there, haha.
Football season can't get here fast enough!
Justin, If you do facebook; look up the page "Nittanynation" and ask around on there. There are often tickets for sale by members and the rule was, not sure if it still is....no price gouging.
I'll check it out man! Thanks for the advice!
Roll the dice, take a pocket full of cash and get them on game day. It has to be at least 10 years in a row I have gotten friends tix for the white out game and don't think I have ever paid more than $100 a tix. In fact, the game PSU beat Ohio State on that block FG, I got 4 together, face value in WB. Get there early, be willing to pay $150 per tix and I bet you will be ok. I only have a yellow parking pass, but I come up 322, get off the College Ave exit and head towards Damon's ( now the Letterman ). I get a purple or red pass every time for $30 max and my yellow as trade. That same route has Tix for sale ALL the time. If you don't get any there, go park, walk over to the Intersection at Beaver Stadium and the Baseball field and you should find some there.
I have gone to the Big House 4 times w/o tix and got very good seats every time. These are big stadiums and there is always tix to be had. Just got to get there early.
Good Luck
