Them hotdog offenses sin the big 12 and PAC don’t work in the big 10 or SEC that’s why they get their ass kicked in the playoffs. We dominated Utah brother. You also see Yurcich struggling against stout defenses in the big 10 and he’s a big 12 kind of OC.

@psujoe Watching Washigton and Utah I thought the same thing. Whittingham does more with less and wins against the odds (except last year) but he is a good coach.

imo there’s 5 or 6 teams that can beat us but unfortunately 2 of ‘em are in our division and conference. It stinks that we lost but let’s not act like we’re losing to teams like Washington and Utah. I’m pointing these 2 team out because this is the teams some of y’all think that are better and we beat both teams when they were PAC champs while James Franklin was coach at Penn St. I’m proving they can’t beat us because they didn’t beat us when they had the chance. IMO We’d beat Washington and Utah this year if we played’em just like we did last time. These teams aren’t good enough on defense to beat us it’s that simple. Guys, it takes stud teams to beat us.

Go back and look at the Rose Bowl stats, the game was tied 14-14 at the half, Rising got hurt in their first series of the second half and they couldn’t do anything after that but we still only outgained them by 60 yards. Hardly a beat down.
@psujoe I can only point out what happens when we do play Washington and Utah when we play them when they were PAC champions. I understand your frustration because I’m frustrated as well but the fact is we’re just not as good as Michigan and Ohio St that’s why we lose. We’ve lost to 2 teams in 2 years and we’ve dominated a big 12 team and beat the PAC 12 champs. We also beat the west division champs last year in the big 10. Like I said remoh, there’s 5 or 6 teams that can beat us and that’s it from what’s happened on the field. We should win the next 2 games then we’ll see what happens in a bowl game. Just gotta keep trying and get the right QB and we’ll win some of these games we’re losing.

The only thing that is frustrating me right now is reading your posts. To be honest I really don’t care what happens on the field at PSU anymore and have accepted the fact that as long as JF is the head coach we need a miracle aka blocked punt return for TD to defeat top teams.
Todays result was easily predictable and anyone that thinks otherwise is brainwashed or just delusional. There was really never any doubt who was going to win this game today.
@psujoe I knew we weren’t good enough at QB to beat Ohio St and Michigan and I said it when the season started. We have to be good at QB to win these 2 games but since Ohio St and Michigan can beat us doesn’t mean Utah and Washington can beat us. I can only point out what happens when we play other teams remoh and the facts are it didn’t end good for Utah and Washington when they played us.
georgia, Ohio St, Michigan, Alabama are the 4 teams that can beat us and their coach ain’t coming to Penn St. Texas, ole Miss, Washington, Oregon are the teams we can beat because ours defense is too good for ‘em to out score us. We’re not that bad brother just not good enough for top 4 but the rest we can beat. Just my opinion though

You have one effed up way of thinking. USC kicked our asses the last couple times they played us so why doesn’t that mean they’d defeat us this year too? Kentucky beat us the last time they played us so wouldn’t they defeat us today? How bout Arkansas they defeated us the last time they played us so obviously they’d give us another beat down too. What about Virginia ? They kicked our asses the last time we played.

@psujoe it’s been a few years since them teams were at the top of their game we were talking about Utah and Washington because we’ve played them both while they were PAC champs the last 6 years. Arkansas, Kentucky and USC aren’t on the same playing field this year or the last few years. We actually have a losing record against USC but that’s a team that can’t beat us right now and we both know that. We’re talking about teams that can beat us today in the top 25. I see 4 teams. Nothing to get upset about it’s just my opinion.
11-2 might be as good as it’s going to get until we get a special QB. I’m watching Georgia and Ole Miss and watching these 2 offenses I’m seeing really good QB play and very fast WR’s especially Georgia. Doesn’t matter how many Ole Miss puts in the box Georgia runs over them. I believe we’re better on defense than Georgia and I know we are on Ole Miss. Iowa shut Rutgers out today imo we need to try Pribula at QB next week to see if he can move the chains and give the kid a chance to prove himself. QB for Ole Miss just got his head knocked off. You run your QB this can happen. Man that was a brutal hit.

Southern - There is not one Top 10 team today that I think Penn State could beat. Either Ohio State or Michigan will most likely represent the Big 10 in the playoffs and if they face Bama or GA, they will get creamed! The only reason Penn State is 8-2 is because we are beating bad teams in the Big 10 and the OOC schedule was weak. If Penn State wins out, they best hope they pull somebody like Ole Miss or Tulane if they have any chance in winning a major bowl game this year.....assuming they can still make one. Our OC and HC just don't have the smarts to beat a good team and that's that! Our offense is averaging 14 points against top 10 teams and that just doesn't cut it!
I just told you that at Vandy he beat 0 teams who were ranked at the end of thr year. I dont care if he beat someone ranked #15 if they ended up 6-6. @roaminglion That’s usually not how they do the stats Roam. The stats are how many ranked teams did you beat. Vanderbilt beating teams may have kept them from being ranked. And we’re talking Vanderbilt here it’s hard to win any games being coach at Vanderbilt. If y’all don’t think he did a great job at Vanderbilt that’s fine but imo he did. They’re 2-9 this year.

See the problem is for teams like Washington and Utah they’ll have a hard time keeping our defense from killing their QB and it’s always been like that and this year ain’t no different. Michigan when they did throw the ball yesterday barely got the ball off and we hit the QB a few times that’s why they didn’t want to pass they knew there could be a chance their QB could get knocked out but since Michigan and Ohio St has the athletes to beat us running the ball doesn’t mean Oregon, Washington. Texas, OleMiss and Utah does. There’s 4 teams that I’ve watched this year that can keep our defense from getting to the QB…Alabama, Georgia, Ohio St and Michigan the rest just don’t match up good against us and that’s why if you ever notice teams like Washington and Utah usually have their QB’s knocked out or limping off the field when they play us. There’s 4 maybe 5 teams that can beat us, that’s it. You want to fire a coach winning 11 games or do you want to keep trying and find the right QB to beat the 4 teams we struggled with? From all I've read about college coaching vs the NFL its a better gig with fewer hours and better money. And of course I ain't him.
