I gotta feeling this dude is got something to prove and we hit a home run getting this guy. We will see by game 3 that People’s will be the best RB on the team and he will be the go to RB. I’m sure we’ll have 3 RB’s that gets playing time but People’s will be the best RB on the team. I’m just feeling it baby this dude will get it done just wait and see.
We may have talked about peoples before I was just listening to a podcast and the dude believes the RB from Iowa St will be the guy and I don’t. As long as we win I could care less who the starter is but I don’t believe the Iowa St RB has faced the competition on defense the defense in the big 10 will be bigger and faster than the big 12. QB’s and WR’s in the big 12 are just as good as any conference. I’m sure the OL guys from Iowa St will compete but the defensive side of the ball is what I’m waiting to see. We got there top players we just need half of them to be able to compete which I believe they will. Can’t wait for the spring game to see the dudes hit the field. This years spring game will be exciting like the 2016 game was with all the new guys being brought in through the portal.
I know I'm probably peeing into the wind, but I'm pulling for Quentin Martin. He looked good in the bowl game.
I'll always pull 1st for our homegrown guys over the portal immigrants, but like you said, whatever it takes - just win baby! Don't worry, I won't tip off ICE, lol!
@rip Give Martin a fair shot, see what he's got. If someone else is better, so be it. Then too, you have to wonder if a two RB system isn't all that bad.

Can't ask for more than that - a fair shot. If he's as good as he looked in the bowl, that's all he'll need to show that he's the man. I have nothing against a 2 RB system as long as it's based on the needs of the offense and doesn't short change a better back like Franklin did with Kaytron and Nick
