I do agree with you Roam. I know a few that refuse to get vaccine because somewhere in there head they believe they are being tracked by the government. The other half I know are just plain thickheaded ignorant. If we get locked down again prepare yourself for major economic collapse. It's bad now. Just imagine what the end result will be. We all see it, including myself in the workplace. Can't get materials, nobody wants to work, major delays in lead times.
I have had 5 raw material price increases since March. Major container shortages to get product from overseas, major Raw Material shortages to get products made here.....and talk about leads times? it took me 8 months to get 4 black shutters for my house. My refrig went out and I got a 10 month lead time for a new one! Thank goodness I found a guy who can fix it for $299. Ordered a car back in January, it was supposed to be delivered in May, then it went to July and now I am looking at October.
Football? I am still hoping for a full stadium in September, but I am slowly loosing faith in THAT! I don't think it will be empty stadiums, I am beginning to believe it may be a reduced crowd....like 50%. I am almost convinced that by the time we hit late August, ONLY those with a Vaccine card may be admitted into the stadium....which is just fine with me! I know it has been at least two months since any of my friends have had the virus. This week? At least 5 have it now....and it is the Delta virus. I haven't been around them, so no concerns here.
I am not pushing anyone to get vaccinated. I did, but that was my choice and so far so good. But people need to understand you can't argue science. I saw the statistics and it made sense to get it. The average age getting the virus now has dropped to 40 from I understand. Makes sense to me since they started with the older group and worked down. You all wait until October comes around. If this keeps going, it is going to be a pandemic of the unvaccinated and it will be worse than the same time last year.

My wife is an ICU doctor, she has had it up to here with this personal choice BS. Every single damn person who gets sick is unvaccinated, and they all act like it's someone else's fault they got sick. Zero responsibility, always someone else to blame and my wife never "does enough" to help them.

It's so strange because most of the people she treats are simultaneously saying the government wants to track them but also Trump was amazing because he developed the vaccine so quickly. THAT IS WHY I AM SO PISSED. It has nothing to do with personal choice for them, it's just BS bias political nonsense. They want to give Trump all the credit in the world for getting the vaccine, but now won't take it as some sort of middle finger to Biden under the guise of "Biden planned it all along". Ugh.

Being in health care I see no rant or ill messaging in your post. I can totally hear where you are coming from at least from the shoes that I stand in. I'd imagine there are days where your wife can't cry enough and you'll have to step in and pick up one way or the other; Good on you! Take her out for a nice walk and let her know a stranger really appreciates what she is doing.

My wife and I are in healthcare as well. It’s like banging your head against a wall. People are idiots and they listened to an idiot misguide them for several years and they are still holding on to that. They will be the first to complain about wearing a mask and having things shut down but they only have themselves to blame at this point.

They're sure they will be fine if they catch it....then they get to appear in a TV commercials, lying in a hospital bed saying "I didn't think I'd be the one catch it." @roaminglion I’m more worried about the schools being closed than anything because the kids in the NE are the smartest in the country and they’re going to fall behind if the schools stay closed. Yes there’s kids smart in other places to but the NE is where a lot of our brain power has come from making this country what it is today. We ain’t going to shut down but I’m afraid the NE is and we’ll pay the price down the road because of it.

Southern, This is my first reaction too. Then, as a healthcare worker, you realize these small minded antivaxxers are directly affecting you on a daily basis. On top of that, the knuckleheads that didn’t get the vaccine and get sick, take up hospital beds that those who did get the vaccine but need the bed for other ailments need. It’s just a narrow minded, selfish view these folks have that won’t get the vaccine.
I am ready to get censored like anyone that disagrees with the MSM, so here goes:
- This was political from the start. Still is
- Fauci has conflicts of interest. As a public servant he should not. He directed funding to the lab as I understand. Why a Chinese lab you ask?
- My initial reaction was that this is a weaponized virus developed in the China Lab and if you get it you die. We initially believed there were mass graves in China,
- Trump did an OK job mobilizing the best people. Better than I expect the average politician would have done but again it was an election year opportunity.
- I said that China can stop it by threatening to cutoff peoples fingers or worse. I've been in Tiananmen Square. Americans have freedom so I proposed the only option was to scare us.
- Early on, the most unhealthy person I knew, Diabetic,100lbs overweight, has to rest half way up a flight of steps got it. He stayed home 5 days. And an old doctor friend with Alzheimers was taken to get the shot by his wife. 10 days later he is drying of COVID.
- Cases were always growing but using that metric a case never goes away even though they lasted 10 days. They never talked about active cases. Why not? Because it didn't scare.
- The vaccine technology had never been approved. What an opportunity to get a new technology under emergency approval?
- The vaccine technology still isn't really approved by the FDA is it? Not under the normal process. But after they give it to 75% of Americans do you think the 'scientists' at the FDA can reject it?
- How many people were tested before they put the Moderna in the field? 100? How long were they tested? Any young people, old people, people immune compromised?
- We are in field test. Can anyone disagree with that? The only argument can be 'emergency, we have no choice'.
- The MSM, Youtube, Faucci etc wacked any doctor that said we have 'cures'. But I have two independent doctors, one a specialist for Autism and one a GP. States apart that suggest we wait and see and will be using a proven drug with years of history. If a love one gets sick I'd suggest you act quickly, get it diagnosed and find a doctor that will use Hydroxychloroquine and/or Ivermectin. I don't know if ventilators made things worse or if they were used to late but it is clear to me that once you got to that point you were in trouble.
- I will not get into Cuomo's manslaughter of sending covid people into nursing homes but I do think that nursing homes now have HIPPA protection for general data. I mean, if you want to know before sending you Grandad to a home what the COVID results are you can't get it.
- There were no more deaths in America during this pandemic than in prior years. A statistical fact.
- It is also a fact that hospitals were financially incentivized to call deaths COVID. If killed in Portland looting but tested positive with COVID you were a COVID Death. The data is intentionally dishonest.
- Let me say again, in a different way that this vaccine technology has never been approved before. So here goes: Never before in human history have scientists injected a substance into a human body to force the body to make a foreign protein (Spike Protein).
- Typically it takes 8-10 years to bring a vaccine to market. So if you have it you are a lab rat. Sorry, I get taking certain risks with new treatments when you have no other choice But always be afraid when someone tells you there is no choice or declares an emergency.
- Answer me this, who all has the government given immunity to with regard to the injection? Who can I sue when it damages me? CVS? Faucci? Moderna?
I am terribly disappointed at how few people can actually think and research anymore. I was told 9 months ago that my local hospital was inundated with COVID patients and were sending people out. So it was easy to find the COVID Case Data by day for my area. If I assumed they all went to the hospital and a case lasted 10 days I calculated that less than 10 people could be in the hospital with COVID. And my neighbor doctor confirmed such. In the old days you couldn't get data but now so much is public but people are lazy. Sheep to the slaughter. Nobody challenges anything.
