Every week let’s get in here and give our score predictions and get it on record. The first week we had a good turnout but last week only 3 people give predictions. This is something fun and bragging right. 3-0 baby let’s go kick Iowa’s butt this Saturday night in the whiteout. This feels like a revenge game to me.
Lions 30
Hawks 10
Similar to Illinois. 3 quarters of uncertainty and then it opens up.
Penn state 42
Iowa 24
I think (hoping) we win, 31-13.
I’m going with 38-13
31-28
38-27
31-10 PSU
Iowa will be wearing black pants so that has to be worth an Iowa touchdown during mop-up time.
Penn State Jumps on them early and doesn't look back. Penn State 45 - 17
(Authors note: with 5 turn-overs, my Illinois prediction should have been correct, but when receivers drop balls and commit stupid penalties the game is closer than it should be.)
Penn State outmatches Iowa by a big margin talent wise. However in my opinion they haven’t even played close to what we were expecting or what their potential is. I think (more like hope) with the whiteout energy that this team finally unleashes some fury of what they are capable of on a hobbled Iowa.
Good guys 41 Iowa 16
I knew we would struggle playing at Illinois. First road game 12 o’clock game always worries me. I’m more than satisfied getting out with the win. Win and keep getting better. Remember, last year at this time we we better than average but a top 10 team at the end of the season.. great coaching from James Franklin!
@psuinhawaii I agree psuHI, and I'm betting there's still a bit of payback on their minds, for the booing of our hurt players.
If anything drives me nuts in football it’s stupid penalties especially when you’re not good enough to overcome’em. When the goat Joe Paterno was coaching a lot of times he was outmanned on the field but playing good tough smart disciplined football we were able to come out with the win.
I'm glad Illinois happened actually, rather than have an overconfident team heading into the Iowa game. It's good that our young QB got knocked back a bit, now he knows even teams like Illinois can beat your butt if you don't prepare and play every game at a high level.
Due to recent injury reports and the current weather report for State College which is recommending that people attending the game bring rain gear I am revising my prediction to,
16 - 10
Penn State....31
Iowa....10
Penn States running game will be in full force Saturday night - rain or no rain. I expect to see a little more of Pribula on short yardage situations allowing Penn State to get more fresh set of downs and control the clock. Bad weather, White Out, 3 missing Offensive starters (especially Lachey) is going to be too much to overcome vs a Penn State defense that seems to thrive in White Out games!
Large birds of prey like Hawks, just sight it out wait for the rain to stop.....and get eaten by Lions who smell the opportunity!
Go State!!
Hey - a lot of us had 31 for Penn State this week. And that was against what is supposed to be a good Iowa defense. Didn't think for second the defense would pitch a shut out! Can't wait to the Ohio State predictions.
I need to see how how they fair against NW. I am hoping they get off to a fast start and not some 16-7 halftime score like they did against Illinois. Playing on the road in Columbus is not going to be anything close to Illinois and NW on the road.
GO STATE!!!
@mtnittanylion Agree mtnit, with a bye week coming there nothing to look past... take it to them and hammer NW
