I wouldn't worry about it Bob.  In my opinion its just a sign of the times along with entering the transfer portal, skipping bowl games, etc, etc.  Today's generation is all about me, me, me and I want it now!  I think it is happening across the board and no school is immune.  Just enjoy your vacation.  Verbal commits are worthless anyhow - next man up!

What does decommitting have to do with "me, me, me"

My lord sometimes you people are a little too holier-than-thou... it's a 16-17 year old kid and he changed his freaking mind... doesn't mean they are selfish.

... and decommitting certainly didn't start with this generation. It's been going on forever, you just didn't hear about it because there was no internet back in the 80s and early 90s

I agree Roam, I always tell people it’s my mind and I’ll change it if I want to and when it’s dealing with sports I change my mind on some things  all the time lol

I get what he's saying, but at the end of the day we need to remember these are 16-17 year old kids who are making the biggest decision of their life. It's okay to change their mind or have doubts.

I'm sorry Roam, but decommitting is only one example I cited along with the transfer portal and skipping out on bowl games.  If you take a look at the trend in college football today as well as society as a whole, it certainly is a different attitude then what was prevalent say 20 years ago.  I'm not trying to be holier-than-thou, I'm just stating an obvious fact.  Sorry if I still believe there is no I in team.  Also, nothing wrong with changing your mind.  Just don't commit to something until your sure you know it's what you want.
