@southern-psu-fan True, but the trick is to get all the parts working together as a unit. As yet, that hasn't happened.
For all the yapping i don't see that anyone has asked him the question and made him dance. You?
There is NO chance Franklin leaves PSU for USC...
It really is a ridiculous time of the year to fire a coach and steal one from another team. Do they negotiate for 8 more games and then announce?
Franklin isn't going anywhere...He has arguably his best recruiting class since coming to Penn State...His team is in the hunt for a conference and national championship...His program is on the cusp of being one of the elite programs in the country...The fan base is one of the largest and best in the country...He may leverage this for a pay raise which is understandable but the bottom line is he isn't going anywhere...He is a great fit for Penn State....
IMO, he isn’t leaving, not because of what has been mentioned prior, but I can’t see him wanting to move his family to California
PSU is on the verge of establishing the greatest recruited class in school history. I just don’t see Franklin leaving that behind.
@psujoe His track record says he does. He ain’t won a NC yet but it’s coming I believe Penn St is going to take the lead in the big 10
Doubtful that Franklin ever wins an NC at PSU but at USC he has a chance because of the elite talent he'll be able to recruit. Personally I think if they offer he should go.

I disagree...I think Franklin will win a NC at PSU and frankly it may be this year...I don't see any team that is unbeatable and all the usual power teams look very average to me...I honest to God think Penn State has had the toughest 3 games to start the season and has looked like the best team so far...They had a rough first half at Wisky but overcame it and won a tough ballgame and that is what championship teams do...They have the toughest schedule in the country and it is going to be really rough for them to get through this meat grinder unbeaten but if they do I have to think they will be the favorites in the CFP...
@thefuneraldirector
No doubt PSU is on the precipice of greatness. It could be this year!
@the-funeral-director We agree FD my man, we’ve definitely have had the toughest schedule so far and the good thing is with the new OC this team is only going to get better and d you’re right brother, James Franklin will win a NC and it just might be this year. We’ve got brute strength and speed all over the field.
Franklin doesn't have the coaching wits to defeat teams with superior talent and the only way he'll ever win a NC is when he can recruit elite talent that is at least equal or superior to teams like Bama and Clemson. He's not going to recruit at that level at PSU but most likely will be able at USC.

Remoh, Pretty sure he beat some teams with superior talent when he coached at Vandy. Auburn being one of them
It’s all about the QB position. When we get the right QB we will win a NC. We had it with McSorely we were just recovering from the sanctions. Clifford show is looking good this year the dude is gettin it done and he’s only going to get better because I believe he is gettin comfortable with the new OC.
Clifford looks like he's really having fun playing this year and when a guy plays like he's enjoying it, he can be very dangerous.
You are absolutely correct Southern...That is why I don't think Bama, Clemson, Ohio State etc...Are going to run the table with Freshman and rookie QB's...It isn't as easy as you make it sound to just reload...
