... and in a truly mind-numbing, just can't understand it decision the running backs will again all be in a rotation!
Man, I am so glad that we get to see Ricky Slade and his 2.5 ypc again instead of Noah Cain who makes the entire offense look better.
this is such a genius move, making the offense look like crap until the 4th quarter when no one will expect our running game to do well... that's when we'll play Noah!
Unreal
TRUST
I trust my eyes and what I’ve watched for 6 games...Cain is the man and it ain’t even debatable. Now if James Franklin has his reason that’s fine but Cain is the best RB we’ve got and one of the best in the big 10
TRUST
No. I wish someone close to Franklin would talk some sense into him, we are winning in spite of this stupid RB rotation... not because of it. IMO I'd hate to see a great season go down the tubes because of a "what if we started Cain" rather than continuing a 4 man rotation that no one understands.
If all anyone did was "TRUST", then what is the point of a opinion board... LMAO
I don’t like QB or RB rotations. You show me a team in the nfl or college football rotating QB’s and RB’s and I’ll show you a team most like shrugging on offense!
Just a thought from a college wrestler that played football in HS: I know for a fact that in wrestling it was harder to prepare for an upcoming bout if the opposing team weighed in 2 or 3 wrestlers at your weight and you had no idea which opponent you were going to face. Different guys are different types of wrestlers ie some are better on their feet, some on the mat, some are better shooting legs and others are better at bars....etc. Could it be that JF is playing with JH's head and making him prep for 4 RB's?? I too find it incredulous that after this past Saturday, Franklin is still going to stick to a 4 man rotation. Besides, Slade has a bad habit of fumbling away the ball.
On another note, Hamler seemed a bit tentative on his kickoff returns. Did anyone else notice that??
Pretty sure Coach Franklin is rotating backs just to annoy you Roam. lol
Probably. And it is likely he doesn’t TRUST roam.

And I agree on Hamler. I wish he would stop dancing and just run.

When you have Retherford, Ruth, Hall, Nickal, you don't rotate them to keep the backups happy. Never saw Cael do that Sky. LMAO 😂
We just need to stop acting like there is some football X&O rhyme or reason behind this. There isn't. He's not doing it to keep Cain fresh, he's not doing it to make prep hard for the other team...
He quite simply can not make a decision and is trying to please everyone. Period.
The last drive we had on offense in the Iowa game showed me all I need to see. We have Cain and everybody else it’s that simple.
Keeping people happy has to be secondary to winning. BUT we haven't lost yet and they all seem to be healthy. How many do you think are honestly happy.
That is not at all what i was referencing roam and you know it.
Yes, I know... I think you missed my point.
My point was that Noah Cain is just not anybody, this isn't a player that needs to sneak up on someone just like Retherford, Ruth, Hall, etc.
When you have a bunch of average players, or what you were referencing average wrestlers, yeah at that point you can play games with rotations... but when you have a guy who's obviously better and makes your offense work better, at that point the games should stop and no more rotation should happen.
I think you missed my point. I'm wondering if Jf isnt playing head games with JH by not listing Cain as the feature back. In doing so, Mich has to prepare for all four RB's as opposed to just one. They all have different styles and different looks. RS is better with his hands (IMO) Cain is the toughest between the tackles but may not be quite as good as a receiver in the flat, and JB can hit a quick one and take it to the house on any giving play. I dont know...just surmising here but I'm wondering if this week it isnt just a dog and pony show so the Mich DC has to prepare a game plan for all four backs. Thats the only scenario that i can come up with that makes any sense. I think the guys on the team know who the top dog is and we'll find out on Saturday night. He cant keep kissing all four of their asses and expect to not have one of them feel slighted. Bottom line is, if one of them feel slighted, work harder and get better. We have some good talent coming into the room next year too.

LOL... Well yup, I definitely missed your point then. My bad 😂
I hope you are right!
I honestly don’t think he’s trying to trick anybody he’s trying to make the RB’s happy and give them the chance to be the number 1 guy. I think he found it last Saturday and Cain will be the man going forward.
@bulldawgs
That's why god (aka the NCAA) created the transfer portal! LMAO!!
Bob we missed during the game Saturday night unless I missed ya. That was a good win in a hard place to get a win. The team is starting to click just like we all thought it would.

He needs to take a cue from Ricky Nelson and Garden Party!
Yeah southern, missed watching the game with you guys too. My wife has been in and out of the hospital the past 2 months and she happened to be back in on Saturday. I'm low tech so I didn't have access to the Internet. You're right! That was an excellent win and should help the team's confidence. Iowa is a real tough place to play, especially in a night game on national TV.
I’ll be saying a prayer for your wife my friend. I’m a low tech guy to lol I just know how to work my phone
sorry to hear about your wife Bob, best wishes to you both!
