PennLive’s Johnny McGonigal and Bob Flounders discuss the impact of veteran offensive lineman JB Nelson leaving Penn State’s program on this episode.

Nelson, a veteran who can play guard or tackle, was a contender to start in the fall. His departure likely creates a huge opportunity for second-year interior offensive lineman Cooper Cousins to step in at one of the guard spots.

I believe we’ll be good but I hate losing Nelson he was good. I can’t read why he left so I’m assuming transfer portal. If it’s the transfer portal we definitely took it on the chin this year we literally got our butts kicked but it happens we’ve benefited the last few years. Hopefully James Franklin has something up his sleeve he usually does so we’ll have to wait and see James Franklin is kind of sneaky lol

The scam dude just won’t go away. Can somebody please tell me what his purpose is because I know ain’t nobody on here dumb enough to fall for his scams?  I could see him trying if he was getting money out of people but I don’t believe he is. Caven is a very smart dude so I’m assuming it’s hard keeping this shitbag out?

@southern-psu-fan Likely Nelson saw the Cousins writing on the wall and he portalled. Which, opens back up again today or tomorrow. Nelson's been around for 5 yrs, probably looking to start vs rotate in. Syr TV whining about losing their best WR. lol Maybe we can pick him up. See if we took it on the chin or not once the season gets going.

I'll bet NIL $'s has a lot to do with it.  Cost a lot to get the key players to return (i.e. Allar, Singleton, Allen, etc.).  Probably not much left for guys like Nelson, lol.

Urban Meyer believes the University of Tennessee will regret the way it handled the situation with Nico Iamaleava.

Iamaleava officially entered the transfer portal on Wednesday morning after Tennessee refused his demands for $4 million in NIL money — leaving the Vols without a starting QB.

I believe Tennessee did the right thing. The Tennessee coach is good developing QB’s they’ll be ok and they might land a good QB in the portal. A good QB might want to look at Tennessee?

@been-there-ii look at the class all the QB’s had under the goat Joe Paterno so I don’t believe he would recruit a QB that would hold out after signing a contract deal. If anything his QB’s would probably split all the money they got.

The Nico Iamaleava saga is apparently ending by joining one of Penn State’s Big Ten foes.

Iamaleava, the quarterback who controversially left Tennessee in an NIL dispute, is expected to transfer to UCLA, according to a Wednesday report from The Athletic.

The kid seems humble, it's not often you see a QB voluntarily take a paycut. LOL

Bill Belichick and the North Carolina Tar Heels have brought in another top talent for the 2025-26 season, and the player comes from Coach Prime’s program at Colorado.

Wide receiver Adrian Wilson told On3 he is transferring to UNC to join Belichick for his inaugural season at Chapel Hill.

Bill Belichick making some noise at NCAR. I wish James Franklin had flipped this dude he looks to be the real deal. Prime time loses a big time recruit!
