@roaminglion I was just responding to 61 but check Ohio States bowl record against the SEC and look at how many times they’ve been blown out. The big 10 needs to do better in bowl games. For the big 10 to start getting respect it needs to be better in bowl games. These bowl games do matter for all conferences.
Who cares? I don't really care what Florida did to Ohio State 17 years ago. If they matter, then why does no one ever mention Clemson being blown out? Seems it only matters when the Big Ten gets blown out.
Stars matter, wins matter, losing matters and bowl games especially matter. IF Cincinnati could’ve got it done in the bowl game last year when Georgia had 7 starters out the committee may have put them in the top 4 but they know exactly what happened last year. I know this is a new year but I promise you that loss against Georgia last year does matter. Here’s where imo is the proof, Cincinnati is in the top 4 in the polls that don’t matter the coaches and AP but when it gets down to crunch time on finding the best 4 teams they are 6th right around where ole southern has ‘em. Teams like Cincinnati has to win games against a team like Georgia or they’ll never get in. Just like James Franklin not getting the wins against Ohio State when we had a chance to win and now losing them games up 21-0 is biting him in the ass today. Get the win in nitty gritty crunch time and you’ll get respect.
That's absolute BS! The 4 teams in the playoffs in 2021 are suppose to be the 4 best teams from 2021 not the 4 teams with the most football history. 2020 doesn't matter, stars don't matter and 1979 doesn't matter and if anyone on the committee is looking at any of those thing they need to be dismissed immediately.

ND since Brian Kelly got there has been as good as they will get. They’ve played for 2 NC’s and got back to winning bowl games and they are 7-1 this year so he is a very good coach. I heard somebody on espn say the Tide can lose a close game to Georgia and still get in. I don’t see it especially if Oklahoma and Ohio st or Oregon win out. They’ll get in with 2 losses over Cincinnati that’s why they got ‘em #2. I think Oklahoma should be #2 but that’s just me.

Bobby Dodd was the reason Georgia Tech left the SEC back in 1964. It was over the 140 rule, which had to do with recruiting. Something about the state schools taking players he wanted because they could stockpile them, and then just drop them for better players 2 or 3 years later. He was fed up with it and the president of GT backed his play. So in 1964 they said get rid of the rule or we are out. The other schools voted 11-0 to keep it, so Tech became an independent.

What does last year have to do with anything? Cincinnati is undefeated...If they finish undefeated they deserve to be in...whoever wins the SEC should be in...If Oregon finishes with 1 loss and wins their conference they deserve to be in and if Oklahoma wins out they deserve to be in..That is my 4 if this scenario holds true...That isn't how it is going to play out as I have said from the beginning the ESPN propaganda machine is in full swing and they are going to put Georgia and Bama in unless Bama loses twice...It's a joke....
