The season ain't over yet!!
The Big10 could be on the outside looking in by the end of this season. I and betting on a two loss Buckeye team, a two loss Michigan Team and I think Sparty loses one game down the stretch. Cincy will jump a 2 loss Bama team ( just for integrity reasons, I don't think they can put Bama in over Cincy if Bama has two losses ). Sooners? They win out, they are in over Cincy. Wake forest? They haven't played a ranked team yet....they are out IMO. Oregon is sitting pretty good, but they too have some interesting games to go.
I agree with you! There is a lot of football to be played and I think we see more major shake ups coming. I am still keeping my eye on this Nebraska vs Ohio State game. Martinez is a wild card, but boy could Frost look like a hero if he pulls this one out! He had Nebraska in all the games to the end vs the three ranked teams that they played.
Wish OUR TEAM was still in the hunt, but it should be a fun ending to this season!
GO STATE!
Having Bama at #2 is a joke?

@psujoe it’s shaping up just like I thought it would. If the Tide knocks off Georgia in a close game I don’t see Georgia falling below 4th. Putting Cincinnati 6th tells me unless the 5 in front of them just fall apart Cincinnati ain’t gettin in and Oklahoma will climb in the top 4 if they finish undefeated which I think they will Oklahoma has a good football team.all these teams get in over Cincinnati with one loss except Oklahoma they have to be undefeated.
Braves are world champions baby the big A is proud of you baby 😁🇺🇸

Considering 4 of the teams ahead of Cincinnati play each other they probably will fall apart, at least some of them.
These CFP rankings tell me Georgia, Alabama, Oregon and Ohio St have to lose 2 times before Cincinnati can get in while Oklahoma who ain’t gettin any respect has to be undefeated. To many hurdles to climb for Cincinnati to get in. I believe Oklahoma is better than the credit they are gettin but if they finish undefeated they will get in. I believe the ACC is out unless Wake goes undefeated and beats whoever they play in the ACC championship really bad then they might get in but it ain’t looking good.
@southern-psu-fan For the first time ever, Im going to side with those here, who say the system is corrupt..There is no way in the world, Bama should be no. 2....If they beat Ga, we all know GA and Bama will be in, no problem with that....But what the committee has done here, is put Bama in position to be in, if they lose close to Ga; say 24-21 on last minute FG...Bama shouldnt be in top 4 now; they shouldnt be in top 4 if they lose to Ga, even by one point at the gun..They are no. 2 on rep..
Put any other team's name against Bama resume, they'd be out in the cold..Lost to an unranked TA&M team at time, Nipped a horrible Fla team by 2; unimpressive vs Tennessee....Oklahoma has a real gripe at #8, sure they were lucky in close games, but at 9-0, only team in country at 9-0, and a different team with Williams at QB, they need to sound off..Cincinnati may not be a top 4 team, but they have reason to gripe too..
MSU at 3 is a gift, they have one great win, UM...AND UM may not be a great team...MSU beat Ind by 20-15, A horrid Nebraska by 23-20, youngstown st and WKU among their "victims" .
THis is the worst CFP Committee work I have ever seen...If it continues hopefully Congress gets its dander up again, and pursues antitrust violations..I think the Committee has 7 new members; this poor work shows..
@culture-thrives I don’t think Alabama gets in if they lose to Georgia but if Alabama beats Georgia we will have 2 SEC teams as long as Alabama don’t blow Georgia out. Oklahoma is gettin no respect I love this Oklahoma team they should be #2 imo but if they win out they are in. The 4th spot comes down to the big 10 champ, ACC champ, Cincinnati and the PAC champ. Right now I believe Ohio St is the best team to get in but if Oregon wins out they should get in over Ohio St because they beat ‘em. Ohio St has got better but that doesn’t matter, they didn’t get it done when they played. It’s who gets the 4th spot if Georgia beats Alabama. It could be winner of the SEC, PAC, Big 10 and big 12 that’s what they want anyway CT
@southern-psu-fan Gotcha southern, and I fully realize there's a lot of football to be played, and the likelihood of these standings changing immensely..I cant see MSU winning out, may lose to you guys if Clifford is healthy, also they lose at OSU;;Oklahoma has work cut out for them with Baylor, Iowa st and Okla ST, and Big 12 champ game, if they win out, they have to be in..
I was commenting strictly from viewpoint, if season ended today, this be the final 4,...and its blatantly unfair..I just heard on radio the AAC commish is ripping mad..

If Oregon wins out they will be ahead of Ohio State. The CFP can not look past the head to head matchup, it is what it is. If Oregon gets left out in favor of Ohio State that's just plain BS. Beat them in their own house, that should trump losing to a conference rival... The loss to Stanford came when their OC Moorhead was in really bad shape in the hospital, and if you saw the game the refs called some really bad penalties on Oregon during Stanford's final game tying drive.
So I agree with you there. However, I don't think Cincy is getting left out, around this time we always see crazy things happen and teams lose, and if ND goes undefeated against the ACC... even an undefeated Wake will not pass Cincy.
Also... got to remember that if ND keeps winning, Cincinnati would have a win over what would be a #7 or higher 11-1 Notre Dame. That game may not look like a huge earth shattering win now, but if ND winds up 11-1 and in the conversation for the CFP that will make Cincy look very, very good.
You might be right Roam I was just looking at this but I do vaguely remember what you posted. It’s weird how they got USC NC and LSU. I’m confused because I think you’re right? Did they give them back that NC?
That list is just who was recognized at the time by whatever group awarded them the title. That is why 2003 has USC listed with LSU, and 2004 is still there.
However, USC absolutely vacated the 2004 title and did not play in the 2003 BCS Championship. Listing them as 2003 champs is kinda like listing UCF as 2017 champs, good story but not true.
if Cincinnati wanted to be ranked they should have been better in 1954.

I think this is a year that if OSU makes it in, they are getting blown out one game or the other.
@psu61 they’ve got blown out a few times and so did Michigan State. 61, it’s still fun beating Michigan regardless of how bad they’ve been 😂
Clemson got blown out twice too, but you never seem to mention that. Only the 2 times Ohio State got blown out.
@roaminglion I was just responding to 61 but check Ohio States bowl record against the SEC and look at how many times they’ve been blown out. The big 10 needs to do better in bowl games. For the big 10 to start getting respect it needs to be better in bowl games. These bowl games do matter for all conferences.
Stars matter, wins matter, losing matters and bowl games especially matter. IF Cincinnati could’ve got it done in the bowl game last year when Georgia had 7 starters out the committee may have put them in the top 4 but they know exactly what happened last year. I know this is a new year but I promise you that loss against Georgia last year does matter. Here’s where imo is the proof, Cincinnati is in the top 4 in the polls that don’t matter the coaches and AP but when it gets down to crunch time on finding the best 4 teams they are 6th right around where ole southern has ‘em. Teams like Cincinnati has to win games against a team like Georgia or they’ll never get in. Just like James Franklin not getting the wins against Ohio State when we had a chance to win and now losing them games up 21-0 is biting him in the ass today. Get the win in nitty gritty crunch time and you’ll get respect.
