Just read on pennlive we could be playing NCAR in the dukes Mayo bowl in Charlotte NC win or lose this week and the Penn State players want to play I would expect nothing less from a James Franklin coached football team! Penn State ain’t scared to play baby bring it on!
Funny to hear the Duke's Mayonnaise bowl. In this part of the world Duke's is rarely found on the grocer's shelves. Glad to see the boys in a bowl game though. NC would be a great opponant.

I'm happy to see opportunities given for bowl game appearances, even though having 5 losses straight.
@southern-psu-fan...I know the reward for an excellent season is long past for invite to a bowl...and to the critics of the plethora of bowl games, my reply is nobody forces you to watch ...but I do have some scruples and I'm a firm believer that losing teams should NOT be invited to bowls and I dont care if we're talking about the weed eater bowl...So in a full season, nothing less than 7-5 should be the benchmark, and IM not even a big fan of that . I would set a minimum of 8 wins for entry And in this truncated season, 5-4 be minimum to qualify..To me , 8-4 provides incentive to teams to strive for, gives some meaning to a reward for a very good season, and in general, an 8- 4team is a pretty good team which helps ensure a good match up..

Normally I would agree but this year is not like any other year. I could empathize for a lesser/smaller school with a winning record this year bumped out in favor of....say Penn State....but starved for sports tv viewers would still rather see the bigger program school play. Of course, this is JMHO.

Yes, this year is such an outlier, I can live with it Especially with 11 or so bowls already cancelled, and teams with winning records like BC, Pitt declining invites....and probably more cancellations/declinations to come...Ill be just as happy to have a bowl season, as I was to have a regular season Its easy to forget , 4-5 months ago, we were looking at no football....Kudos to all the college teams who gave us a season, amidst much hard work, and sacrifice..

OMG.....you have got to get a LIFE!! I just had boiled peanuts for the first time in Cartersville not too long ago. They were horrible!!! And then, to wash them down with a Miller light??? That's two BAD chemicals you are introducing to your system!! Give me some Hard Pretzel's and an IPA and I am good to go!

There are NO losing teams this year! All these kids did was give Southern another year of his TRUE TOP 5 and us fans something to watch on Saturdays vs COVID reports and who the heck the President is. In fact, I think they should just pair the top 10 and have a play off and then pair up everyone else and have a nice grand finale to a season that was left for dead! It ain't about who the best is this year, it's more like letting these kids who want to play football play football. Getting a swab up your nose several times a week earns as many games as you can get in as far as I am concerned!

Damn I forgot to give him grief about drinking Coors Lite or what we refer to up here as Girls Lite! LOL. I also prefer a good IPA, preferably a Troegs or a Victory but Lord Hobo ain't bad either.
