Just heard Lou Holtz has died... He was 89...He was another scumbag...I almost put him on par with the Saban's, Switzer's, Bowden's etc... of the world...Most of the high profile jobs he held he had to get out of dodge because of some sort of cheating scandal that left the university holding the bag with some sort of sanctions...It's amazing how much shenanigans is overlooked if you are one of the sacred cows...The reason why they crucified Paterno like they did is because he wouldn't play ball with them and he protected the players...

One thing I will say for Switzer that was different from the other scumbags was that he didn't run away from it...He knew what he was and wasn't phony about it unlike the rest of the scumbags mentioned above...For that I have a little more respect for Switzer than the rest of them only because he knew what he was and didn't try to bullshit anybody about it...

I respect your opinion Pipe but being dead doesn't change what you did while you were here...If a guy was a rapist or a murderer that is what you call them...As far as putting Jesus in my heart I am fairly certain I have spent a hell of a lot more time in a church pew than you have only because I spend almost every day in churches listening to eulogies...I always viewed religion this way...Your relationship with your Lord is a personal one...I was never one who liked or appreciated people popping off about how holy they are...I always accepted the fact that I am a sinner and imperfect but endeavor to do better and be a better person each day...I got enough problems keeping myself square with the Lord let alone worry about somebody else's failings...Like the good book says Pipe...People in glass houses shouldn't be tossing rocks around or something along those lines...🤣
