Two Big Ten / ACC matchups, two beatdowns by the Big Ten.

I caught the end of the Wisconsin game.  WTF.  Is Wisconsin that good? Miami that bad?  Is it just southern teams can't play in the cold.  I really think southern teams can't adjust to cold weather.  There is no way to prepare for that.  The blood is just too thin.  Can't stay warm.  Easier to go from cold to warm than warm to cold.  Makes me wonder if PSU Alabama in 78 would have been different if played in NYC.  Oh well, just wonder what others think.

I think it's more of the ACC teams just stink.

That is an unfair characterization.  In any given year the B1G can lose a few bowl games.  That doesn’t mean the concert ”stinks.”

Well, we all know Pitt stinks and we just learned that Miami and GT (sorry SPF) stink.  So, if the majority of the ACC teams lose their bowl games; it kind of stands to reason that the conference stinks.  Time will tell.

I think the big 10 is just that good. It has been the toughest conference for the last 3 or 4 years and it’s a shame that our champion gets left out of the playoffs. I noticed ole Slick Nick is just for 4 teams in the playoffs, I guess it’s easy to feel that way when the SEC get an automatic team in lol, sometimes they get 2 in. Plus Saban always gets the benefit of the doubt when other coaches don’t. It is what it is so we may as well just deal with it.

I agree Roam the ACC is just bad and they get Clemson and ND in the playoffs lol. Of course the SEC was bad last year and they got 2 teams in. This whole playoffs crap just stinks.

For what it's worth, the ACC is underdog in 5 out of the next 6 games. I know let the games be played but it isn't a resounding endorsement of the strength of the concert .. err conference.

I agree, Sky...Im not buying or reading  anything into two meaningless, "minorest" of minor bowl games..Both Ga Tech and Miami were considered the better football teams by Las Vegas, guys who know.. Neither showed up, Tech with an outgoing coach, they looked like they barely practiced, I don't think they did, and Miami, a team described as so listless in the game article , that the AD had to speak out, and call it unacceptable..The crowd was described a s "sparse", and in a sparse frigid Yankee Stadium, the CANES went thru the motions, the AD knows that..thus voiced his frustration...

I never draw any conclusions about the conferences  till the whole slate plays out..The BIG 10 wasnt good this yr, two meaningless games doesn't change that.. THis is  a major problem with too many bowls; many teams don't show up..

I meant the two ACC teams in the games, the the entire conference. SMH

.. but based on a lot of other things including the regular season, I think everyone already knows that the ACC kind of sucks

I think if you take the 5 top B10 teams vs top 5 Sec teams, we would be the only team to win. I think Florida will beat Michigan tomorrow.  Maybe not, but I would be very surprised if Michigan wins.

LOL.....of course you're not going to draw conclusions about the ACC being that your beloved Irish played most of the ACC cupcakes this year.

If the B1G wasn't good this year, doesnt that take the lustre off Notre Dame's "signature win" over UM??  Best of luck tomorrow.

Youre timing wasn't the best Tsuga, with Big 10 champ conqueror by 29 Purdue, trailing SEC mediocre 7-5 Auburn by 56-7..OUCH..

When I comment about Big 10 being down, I mean from top to bottom..at the top, OSU is very good maybe good enough for CFP, I don't know..and UM is very good, despite its lopsided loss...PSU is a good team, Northwestern is decent, after that, there is not much..MSU could have been better, seemed injury wracked at end of yr..

Thanks for the well wishes tomorrow

Auburn isn't just a mediocre team in another conference. Same with LSU. Just my opinion though.

Don't think I'd be bragging up Auburn just because they kicked the sheet out of Purdue. Purdue was a 6-6 team that lost to some pretty bad teams and really didn't belong in a bowl game.

Yes Auburn is a mediocre team and their fans will most likely be calling for the coaches head again next year.

Iread the results a couple years ago regarding playing in cold weather vs hot weather and it was concluded that cold weather teams are at a distinct gisadvanrage when playing in hot weather.

I never said the B1G was great, good or anything.  I said the ACC stinks.

I did ask a question that you seemed to have overlooked.

it's an annual tradition at Auburn to call for the coaches head, I think those fans are never happy.  LMAO, didn't they fire their coach one or two years after he won the national title?

Saying that a league stinks also says that the players stink. Regardless of the competency of the players, none stink. They train, put in many hours, and out in a good effort to succeed. Saying that they stink is disrespectful.  I commend all student athletes.

I thought I answered your question Tsuga, if you examine it closely, its there..But to be crystal clear, yes UM is ND's signature win , AND NO I don't think the Big 10's lack lustre play diminished that...I said UM is  a very good team, but top to bottom, the Big 10 was bad this year..One team does not make a conference..

And that 'Cuse win wasnt too shabby either, the Cuse finishing 10-3 after  a good bowl win..

Wisconsin beat Miami and Minnesota beat my Jackets, that’s 2 good wins for the big 10. Auburn should beat Purdue because they have much better players and it ain’t even close.

Syracuse played a team without 3 starters including their all-american QB.

So they beat WVU... but not exactly the same WVU who was #16 this year.
