I like the idea of Robinson. With the Giants playing so poorly I wonder if coach chaos may soon be available??
Robinson and Kevin Steele would be my top 2 choices with Steele probably being #1. According to Southern SEC football is the greatest CFB in the world so the guy that lead a top 10-20 defense while in that league has to be good and a can't miss choice. He's unemployed for now and there may be a bidding war for him but JF negotiated this new deal that has money in it to throw at top assistants so it's time to start putting up or shutting up.

LMAO... all I've ever said was I won't consider Belechik the "best ever" in football until he wins without Brady, and that with coaches like Phil Jackson out there in Basketball that I'd never say he was the best ever in "any sport".

Robinson is a STRONG recruiter and good DL coach, but he has no DC experience. Not an absolute for the position, but nonetheless others may be available with experience. Knowles intrigued me. Also, if, somehow ND fails to keep him and he doesn’t follow Kelly to LSU, Marcus Freeman is a huge name as a DC. Did a great job at Cincy and last season at ND. The downside is, he’ll be a HC somewhere soon.

Y’all heard me talk about my friend Dee the Michigan fan and he’s a diehard bills fan and I told him about what we’ve been talking about with Belichick and he told me that people in the NE that’s not NE fans won’t ever be reasonable about Belichick he said giants, eagle and especially Pittsburgh fans hate that man 😂. Now he did agree with me probably because he’s a Brady fan because of Michigan lol. On a serious note I really do believe the man is that good but it’s just my opinion I can’t prove anything

It looks like the domers are hiring Freeman. So, either they really like him and didn’t look elsewhere or Fickell told them no. Regardless, that’s one less candidate for the open PSU DC position.
Article with Deion Sanders IMO spells it it pretty succinctly, regardless of the coaching staff, better have someone who can go into homes and recruit the big dogs, because without dogs that hunt you ain’t hunting.
With that being said, who’s the best coach that is also the best recruiter available?

Former great players need to prove their coaching skills by starting at the bottom of the coaching ranks. Most of the top coaches went to lower level programs and were average players.
PSU co defensive coordinator Anthony Poindexter is apparently out of the running as he's the favorite to land the recently vacated UVA head coach job. The state of Virginia might have 2 former Penn State assistants coaching their 2 most prominent CFB teams next year.
