I'll be on Allar's bandwagon too as long as he is our QB. I'm looking forward to seeing his upside and continued improvement.
@southern-psu-fan I think Rutgers fans are the most annoying with their stupid talk of how they’re a sleeping giant and every time they hire a new coach proclaiming they’re going to dominate the B1G. sPitt has been bad to mediocre for so long that it’s kinda hard to hate them and I really don’t think they are capable of bringing back the intensity of the old rivalry that existed years ago. Maryland could be a great rivalry due to logistics but are dysfunctional and a lot like Rutgers. I think if you want to get back to a regional rivalry that has history and could be heated and filled with hate Syracuse and WV have the most potential with MD close behind. Right now I really don’t hate any of the old rivals mostly because none of them have done anything lately to make me hate them.

Myself, I truly dislike Syr & ND. Syracuse, because of all the "we are great" bs in the local media. ND because of their "Holier than Thou" perceived perception. And I hope O$U makes them eat turf.
I still think the Maryland game is a perfect fit for our rivalry/trophy game. There are crownstones all along the PA/MD border.
Make the trophy look like one of the crownstones along the Mason-Dixon line and call it something along the lines of the Mason-Dixon rivalry.
@roaminglion I know Maryland and Rutgers were never any competition when I was in my younger years from 1975 until Penn State joined the big 10 in 1993 it was always Pitt and ND where the hate was and ND always was the team I couldn’t stand. My daddy side of the family is from piedmont Al so most my family is Alabama fans and that was a huge game but I never hated the Tide, Syracuse or WV. My Mother was Ga Tech and daddy was Georgia and I sided with my mother on that one 😂 my uncle and cousins when I was a kid and till this day still ask me, how in the Fudge did you become a Penn St fan 😂….i don’t like Miami either and fudge ND!

@psumark when I was 7 years old in 1975 season Alabama was playing Penn St and I loved the all white because the football team I played for had the same uniforms. I had watched them early in that year and liked the uniforms but I don’t remember what game it was but I remembered the uniforms when they played the Tide. I only got to watch a few games a year but I’d watch games on tv just to see the game highlights of Penn St like during halftime shows lol
First year playing football and it took us 4 or 5 years before we won a game we stunk up the field baby 😂

There’s an article on pennlive by the funer directors man David Jones about the 12 teams playoff that’s pretty good. I tried putting it here but it’s forbidden. I’m with 81, keep everything the same just take the final top 12 regardless if there’s a conference title. We lose to Oregon and Ohio St we might not make it in this coming year with the way it’s set up today. Take the final CFP top 12

You have to see this for what it is...By giving the 4 byes to conference champs or the best of 5 reps means that every year these SEC teams are going to have to travel north to play in the cold...If they go to the top 12 teams again this brings in opinions and subjectivity to the thing...The SEC wants to ensure they don't have a repeat of this year moving forward...The regular season has to mean something...My personal opinion hasn't changed...I believe the 4 conference champs and their runner ups should get in PERIOD...That's 8...You take a best of 5 team and now you have 9...That leaves 3 at large teams to put in...Win your conference games as they are your playoff games before the playoffs...For the first time in 25 years they got it right...I wouldn't change anything...

@psujoe beat 2 top 10 teams in 2024 homer and had a chance to beat the pups. Helped Knocked Miami out of the playoffs. I’ve seen improvement since Brent Key took over the QB got hurt and was injured the last 6 or 7 games he couldn’t throw the ball. He had surgery hopefully he’ll be back to a 100% this coming year. You gotta keep fighting homer. 😂
This past season, SMU entered the ACC championship game as the regular-season champion but lost to Clemson in the ACC title game and had to sweat it out before selection day before earning a spot in the 12-team field.
Phillips said the ACC could consider giving its regular-season champion a bye, and have the teams that finish second or third in the league standings play in the ACC championship game.
