"Penn State men's basketball coach Mike Rhoades is remaking more than his roster this offseason. He faced changes with his coaching staff as well.

Rhoades promoted assistant coach Brent Scott to associate head coach this offseason and hired veteran Big Ten assistant Dwayne Stephens to his staff. Penn State lost two assistant coaches after last season, when they went 12-20 and finished last in the Big Ten. Former associate head coach Jamal Brunt left for Syracuse, and assistant coach Joe Crispin became the head coach at Air Force."

Ivan Juric (Sophomore, F/7 ft): Returns after a productive freshman season (10.2 PPG, 5.3 RPG).
Jay Rodgers (Senior, G/6 ft 3 in): Transfer from Central Connecticut State, expected to start at point guard.
Brant Byers (Forward/6 ft 8 in): Transfer from Miami (Ohio), expected to be a primary shooter.
Roberts Blums (Guard/6 ft 4 in): Transfer from Davidson, recognized as an elite shooter.
Tim Oboh (Junior, C/6 ft 10 in): Transfer from Buffalo, expected to add rim protection.
Roko Prkacin (Forward/6 ft 9 in): Experienced Croatian forward with professional experience in France.
Francois Wibaut (Forward/6 ft 6 in): French forward who played for Pau-Orthez.
Aleksandar Zecevic (Forward/Center/6 ft 10 in): Serbian player joining from Spain's Bilbao Basket U22 team.

Talor Battle just got hired as an assistant coach. Glad to see him back. It kind of bugged me to see him coaching at OSU.

PSU defeats #8 Purdue

A bit late, but thought everyone would like to know our Bball team is now 8-1 after beating Purdue 81-70. We are looking pretty darn good so far, our only loss was a close game against Clemson.

For refrence, Clemson is also 8-1 and has beaten #4 Kentucky.

I watched PSU play UMBC, 103-54, Friday night. The announcers were talking up the lions like they were a top 10 team. they seemed to miss the fact that they were playing nobody. We'll see later in the season. A different look this year, they have a big guy. I'm looking forward to watching a few more games before they hit the bigs.
